Craigslist. We found our engagement photographer on Craigslist because we're spending a ton on our wedding photographer (who is out of state), and we wanted to save money wherever possible. Typically, photographers on Craigslist cater to those on a tight budget. Sometimes they're just starting out and are trying to gain experience, and sometimes they're a bit more experienced, but offer mroe affordable packages.

My only advice to you is, if you can, have photography be the one thing you splurge on. Everything else, the flowers, the cake, the food and favors, last one day. The photos last forever. The last thing you want is to skimp on photography and end up with horrible pictures. Be sure to really research your photograher and ask for references if they have experience. Hiring someone eithout experience can work out, but is also risky.
